Looking for someone I did not expect to find here

Hello there. Thank you for reading my profile. To start: I guarantee you won't regret reading my profile and immediately sending me a message to say hi and set up a meeting for dinner! :) Now a bit more detail: I am plain yet sophisticated, mature yet young; serious yet funny (at times). I'm curious about people and places, almost like a child. I've lived and worked in many places on our beautiful planet and have learnt from and shared experiences with people in many different countries. I am a physician and spend a good part of my time working in poorer parts of the world. I care deeply about social and environmental causes, and am concerned about injustices and inequities, here at home and all over the planet. I think kindness is what matters the most, especially kindness to strangers, to people who may never know we were kind to them, a kind of kindness that leads to sisterhood and brotherhood between strangers. I am health-conscious and care about the well-being of my body and mind. I am a vegetarian (but you don't have to be), and a nonsmoker/nondrinker. I'm into nature, arts, cinema, reading, and poetry. I don't care that much about the little things in life, like possessions, what's fashionable, or looking good. I am fiercely loyal; seeking one awesome woman who could be my best friend and hopefully a lot more. A woman I feel lucky I have met.
